iShield 9000 is a Carrier Grade high performance firewall that protects the perimeter of the telco core independent of generation or use case (Internet, Backhaul, Roaming, O&M). By making sure that specific interfaces have the right protection applied, business continuity is guaranteed. Features such as CG-NAT, high performance IPsec and TLS, SCTP and GTP Inspection, BGP/OSPF, IDP/IPS, DoS protection, Route failover and generic firewalling gives the operator the toolbox needed to mitigate potential threats with centralized management.
In addition to the two built in copper gigabit ports, up to eight interface modules with the choice of 2 x 100GbE (QSFP28) can be added.

Application areas
The iShield 9000 does not only include all data center perimeter firewall features expected, it also handles routing using both BGP and OSPF protocols, obsoleting the use of expensive routers for high availability setups and enabling direct connectivity to multiple peering partners.
