The project initially focused on replacing the legacy SDH network as part of a broader modernization strategy.
Connecting business customers to the BNG-based IP network required new network termination devices capable of supporting both copper and fiber.
The key challenge: finding a reliable, flexible and future-proof solution to enable this transition efficiently and without compromising service quality.

We at aconnic responded with a comprehensive offering BNG Remote Device that implemented all requested device variants in a Multiservice Business Access BIG 28xx and won the customer’s trust. Building on this success, aconnic was later selected as the supplier for 10G BNG remote control devices, further strengthening the long-term partnership based on performance, innovation and reliability.

The project began with the deployment of aconnic’s SHDSL solution with repeaters, enabling seamless integration into the customer’s existing infrastructure. While maintaining the legacy SDH network, the customer gradually introduced BNG-based connections using our devices – ensuring a smooth and disruption-free migration for all business clients, completed by the end of 2024.

A key success factor was the Multiservice Business Access Unit BIG 2862, which impressed with its efficiency and versatility. By consolidating multiple functions into one platform, the solution delivered significant savings in product testing, lifecycle management, and logistics, helping the customer achieve both operational and economic advantages.
